How to Purchase our Furniture

All of my furniture is custom made and no two pieces are exactly duplicated. The designs for my furniture are generally a collaborative effort with commissioners. The process that I use to design begins with sketches and details put to paper, however, when I actually build the piece I find that many details that worked on paper do not translate well visually on the actual piece. Therefore, the design and construction become a fluid process where the piece is ever evolving.

With a basic idea from a commissioner of a piece, I can give a free ballpark estimate that will allow the person to decide whether to pursue the project. This process can be started with a phone call or an e-mail. After a final, general design is approved, I will provide a firm price quote. I request that 50% of the cost of a project be paid up front before construction begins with the remainder due upon completion. As a general guide, dining room tables can range from $1000 to $2500 while small wall cabinets can range from $300 to $600. The price that I end up quoting will depend primarily upon size and complexity.

My former clients have included a district courthouse, a city library, and a U.S. Senator. Former clients have also been social workers, mechanics, and teachers. I strive to make well-crafted and beautiful furniture accessible to as many people as possible.

Delivery of pieces in the Finger Lakes area is free while the cost of shipping pieces outside the area will need to be at the commissioner's expense.
